In my past life (the one during the lifetime of Van Gogh, Gauguin, etc.) I was a lithographer. I fell hard in love with printmaking during college and continue to make several prints each year in my home studio. This passion influences all of my designwork.
What began as a way to limit the focus on photographing my travels and be present in the moment has turned into a steady photography hobby. I continue to shoot film and not digital because I’m a purist snob and love the control and skill required to operate a manual camera (ha!)
Without formal training, I put my printmaking background somewhat to use in making artist books. During winter in Montana, I’m either out skiing or inside staying warm and making art—I love using Japanese paper marbling techniques and hand binding books.
