Goal: Create a visual identity system for a small custom furniture kit company based in Bellingham, Washington (2025)
Role: visual identity development
Notes: In our discovery process, we learned that the Northerly Customs furniture and brand is friendly, cozy, durable, reputable, and timeless. The client wanted a visual identity system that was inspired by old craft like boatbuilding and woodworking, Japanese kamon design, and that could be etched into the plywood furniture with a CnC machine. I used Bellingham landscapes as inspiration for the color palette and chose bespoke typefaces that look handmade.
Relationship: I worked with Northerly Customs as a freelancer.
