Alaquest Collaborative for Education
ACE is dedicated to making Social and Emotional Learning an integral part of education in Alabama. They work together to create, implement, and advocate for programming that fosters social and emotional growth and understanding, especially in young people. In 2016, I was commissioned to design the brand identity for ACE, focusing on communicating trustworthiness, forward motion, and inspiring a sense of optimism.
I drew inspiration from the concept of a mandala. Mandalas are radiant, calming, and focusing. They act as a compass, driving focus inward. ACE is focused on cultivating a more self-aware and emotionally intelligent internal compass in their students, so the marriage of these concepts feels right.
