Birmingham Pig Roast

The Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama (HICA) planned a big Puerto Rican-style pig roast as a fund raiser in 2020. A big part of the marketing campaign was education — the tradition behind the pig roast, how it is done, and what people could expect to see at the event. The original direction HICA was going used a more clean-cut and traditional graphic feel, but they came to me wanting something that felt more “homemade.” In addition to a poster with elements that could be used in other pieces of marketing materials, they asked for a simple event logo. I drew all elements by hand, digitally.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was postponed until 2021, but HICA still plans to use these materials for the event. They had not secured sponsors at the time I completed the project.
